Hero is a creative content production agency. We represents an elite group of directors, photographers and D.O.P.s in South Africa and internationally. Established and run by Sabina Jakob and Neil Roberts.
Sabina Jakob: Born to organise and with her German roots she brings the attention to detail and her experience, drive and enthusiasm to every part of the business. Sabina is not only the financial brain but does so much more than just looking after the accounts. With over 20 years of experience in the production industry, she joined the world of photography lending her organisational eye for detail to the Hero team.
Neil Roberts: Neil’s background is in photography and directing. He is passionate about creating visuals and was an established kids and fashion creator that would like to put all his boundless energy into growing other young and upcoming creatives. As Neil started his career in the production industry, he knows what customer service and organizing a shoot is all about.
From photography to set design, from hair and make-up to styling, as well as production services for film and photography, Hero Creative Management can manage a client’s project in its totality in-house; from conception to final product. PRODUCTION
We know that sometimes you need help managing your shoots as well as the talent to execute them. Thats why in addition to representing the best of the best, Hero can manage a clients project from start to finish, from conception to final product. We have an in-house production service team that offers personal attention to every detail of the shoot. We connect concepts with creatives. No middle man or mis-communications. By doing everything in-house, from concept to production to execution, our process is swift and seamless. We’re a team, and not just any team but the team. Our creatives thrive when they’re working together and nothing beats team work.
Casting & Models
At Hero we provide a full casting service. We create comprehensive model briefs covering the nitty gritty of your most elaborate of requests. Our vast network of model and talent agencies represent both local and international talent. This includes animals. Do you want a chihuahua that can dance? Easy. In addition to this we are equipped run your casting at our Hero studios where we have hosted castings big and small.
Locations & Permits
Hero has access to online catalogues of jaw-dropping locations, including our very own location house: De La Soul. We can create tailor-made presentations for your location requests and are licensed to organise location permits for public spaces and National Parks. Our freelance team of experienced location scouts can be hired to do location recces in order to find your oasis-in-the-middle-of-the-desert.
Catering
Hero will take care of even the most sensitive palate. We can cater for vegans, vegetarians, halal and easy eaters. We work with any budget, big or small, and will make sure your food is fresh, delicious and finger-licking-good. Every production vehicle is equipped with cooler boxes, hamper baskets with cutlery and crockery, as well as tables and chairs, umbrellas and ladders to ensure your upmost comfort.
